favorite Number 5 is my favourite!❗ 1☘Sunflower oil instead of Vitamin E. Sunflower oil is naturally high in Vitamin E and has other nutrients that are good for your skin. 2☘Mix powdered herbs/pigments with oil. There will be fewer lumps than if you use water. 3☘Add a small amount of beeswax to prevent soda ash, or use plastic wrap on top of the new soap before you close it for the first rest period. 4☘Warm-up honey before adding to soap. Cold honey will congeal and possibly stay in clumps. 5☘️ Prepare your additives in advance, as your soap may be ready sooner than you expect. Leaving soap on the heat too long can make it too sticky and thick. 6☘Donate imperfect bars to a homeless shelter or food bank. 7☘Save up all your soap making towels and blankets for one laundry load. No need to use detergent – they already have soap on them. 8☘Sniff some coffee before checking the scent in your soap a final time. Coffee will clear your nose and give you a true sense of the scent 9☘Have fun! Don’t get caught up in making the perfect bar. You might miss out on something good.

the ☝Do not get stressed!😲😲😲 Most of tools required are easy to find in every kitchen. 🍜🍽 Check the Tips below & let's start Soap FUN⬇ Before diving into the world of Soap Making one should prepare basic tools. ☡Attention: all the tools used for Soap Making can not be later used for cooking. Please separate your soap tools/ingredients from cooking Tools! 📝1. Recipe & the pen. It is essential to check & prepare your recipe before starting the practice. Keep your recipe in written form on your soap making table. As keeping it in an online version is not advice, due to possible problems with the internet. 🌸2. Digital Scale. It is a king of the soap making process. 👑Ideally, without it you can not start the process. The scale should be up to 0.1 gram, to make your measurements enough detail. The scale must have a TARE/RESET button to help you calibrate the wait of bowls you are using to 0. 🌸3. Blender is a queen of Soap Making👸You can handle the process without it but it will be very hard for newbies. The blender helps to mix lye solution with oils & start the reaction of saponification. 🌸4. Mask & Gloves. Are basic safety require to keep your hands, face, nose from lye steaming or possible burn. For 100% safety usage of Google's & safety cloth required. If you do not have one, apron or old pajamas work well. 🌸5. Big pot ( stainless steel) the one that you will heat your oils in & later on mix it with the lye solution. For HP soap makers, this pot will be used to cook your soap in. 🌸6. 2-3 bowls for measuring water, lye and mixing it together. Stainless steel/ good quality plastic or glass works very well. 🌸7. Whisk to mix lye crystals with water. 8. Spatula with a rubber end to help measuring lye solution or later to mix the soap in the big pot ( number 5 on the photo) 🌸9. Cooker. Any source of heat works well if it is gas, electric or induction cooker. It just requires some time to get used to a particular type. 🌸10. Thermometer. This is a prince of Soap Making process. It helps to make the reaction of saponification predictable and smooth. Different T range of mixing lye solution and oils can help you to gain smooth runny trace, or to make it thick and quick. It can give you time for swirls or opposite bring your soap to Vaseline phase in minutes. Do not hesitate using T in your creations. Observe, make notes and learn. 🌸11. The filter is needed to filter the lye solution into the oils. To avoid any undissolved lye crystals in your soap. If you skip this tool there is a high chance of getting lye crystals into the oils. They can not be dissolved in oils, so they will create a soap with lye pockets or crystals. Which is dangerous and can not be rebatched. 🌸12. Oil as a basic soap making ingredient. It can be oils of vegetable origin/ animal fats or butter. 13. Lye. If you are planning to do solid bar soaps you would go for NaOH, but if you would like to make a paste or liquid soap choose KOH.

contributes Check the list of the most common soap-making oils & the qualities they will give to your soap recipes!💚 This info will be useful when you will create your next Soap! 🛁 Like choosing the ingredients in any recipe, choosing the oils in your soap recipes is a very important step in your soap making. Each oil imparts different qualities to the final soap Creating your soap recipe is the art of balancing them to create the perfect bar of soap 💛Apricot Kernel Oil Apricot kernel oil is a light oil that is similar to almond oil in its fatty acid makeup. It absorbs nicely into the skin and is a good luxury conditioning oil in soap - at about 5% - 10%. It's good in soap, massage and bath oils, massage bars and bath bombs. 💛Almond Oil A lovely moisturizing oil that is very light and absorbs well. In soap, it produces a low, stable lather, but I wouldn't use it more than about 5% - 10% in soap - as it's not a very hard oil in soap. 💛Avocado Oil Avocado oil is a heavy, green, rich, moisturizing oil that has a high percentage of unsaponifiables (the portions of the oil that don't react with the lye to form soap,) so it's a good oil to superfat with. 💛Babassu Oil Babassu oil comes from the kernels of the babassu palm. Its fatty acid makeup is very similar to palm kernel and to coconut oil. It's high in lauric and myristic acid, which contribute to a nice, fluffy lather. 💛Canola Oil Canola, a kind of rapeseed, is a good economical oil for soap making - you can substitute a portion of your olive for canola, or use it as part of your batch at 10-15%. It gives a nice, low, creamy lather and is moisturizing. It will slow down the rate at which your soap will get to trace, so it's a good oil to add if you're doing complicated swirls or colors. 💛Castor Oil Castor oil is a thick, clear oil that helps increase the lather in soap - a rich, creamy lather. It's also a humectant (attracts moisture to your skin) oil. Just a little will do...5% - 8% in your recipe will work wonders. Shampoo bars often use 10%-15%...but more than that and you get a soft bar of soap. 💛Coconut Oil Coconut oil is one of the primary oils soapmakers use in their soap. Most of the coconut oil sold and used has a melting point of 76°, but there is a hydrogenated type that melts at 92°. Either version works the same to give tremendous, bubbly lather to your soap. It also makes for a very hard, white bar of soap. 💛Corn Oil Not many soap makers use corn oil. There's nothing wrong with it; there are just better oils to use. It acts like most of the other vegetable liquid oils like soybean or canola. Some soap makers choose not to use it for fear of affecting people with corn allergies. That aside, it can be used as part of your recipe (10-15%) and will help give a moisturizing, stable lather. Nothing remarkable - but if you've got some on hand that you're not going to use for cooking, go ahead and use it in soap. 💛Grapeseed Oil Grapeseed oil is a lightweight, moisturizing oil that is a good additive to soap in small quantities. It doesn't have a long shelf life, so unless you treat it with rosemary oleoresin extract, or have a very low superfat percentage, don't use it more than about 5% in your recipe. 💛Hemp Seed Oil Hemp oil, hemp milk, hemp seeds, hemp flour Annabelle Breakey/Getty Images Hemp seed oil is a deep, green color with a light, nutty smell. No, it doesn't smell like marijuana, nor does it have any of the effects that marijuana has, but it does indeed come from the seed of the cannabis plant. It's really lovely in lotions and creams and great in soap too. It gives a light, creamy/silky lather. Because of its fatty acid makeup, it has a very short shelf life less than six months, so it should be refrigerated or even kept in the freezer. Use the info above to create your soap recipe next time & enjoy the process!

Our answer would be: Create it!💚available But to decide if the Soaps availiable in the stores are 100% Natural, check the tips below⬇️⬇️ ❌For start its important to understand the majority of cleaning products sold in stores under the name SOAP are not soaps at all. They are more accurately described as synthetic chemical detergents containing synthetic fragrance oils, dyes and harsh ingredients like triethanolamine. Which can be harmful to both your eyes and lungs. ✔Soap is a product made through the reaction of saponification. Basic ingredients are Fat Acids+ Lye. Depending on the types of soap made, it can be KOH or NaOH. Such soaps can be created using cold or hot processes. Both are natural by itself unless the producer uses synthetic colors & scents or other adding.☝️ 🌿How to KNOW if SOAP IS NATURAL? 🍃 ➡️More likely it won’t be snow-white: when you add herbal broths, soap turns dark. The only exemption is soap made on 100% coconut oil or with adding of salts. ❌ Usually, factory-made soap gets its from titanium dioxide. ➡️Most likely it won’t crystal clear. Surely, you can add alcohol, sugar syrup and glycerin, however, it still won’t be as see-through as the soap base. ❌Crystal clear soaps are mostly made by Melt& Pour Method. ➡️If the soap uses natural dyes such as coffee, cocoa, or sea buckthorn oil, it most likely won’t have bright saturated color. ❌Bright colors are usually in soaps, made with food coloring or cosmetic pigments. ➡️If the soap has a long-lasting fragrance, most likely it was made with odorants (a complex mixture of synthetic and semi-synthetic tracks), and not essential oils. ❌Remember, not everything that you can smell in real life can preserve the fragrance: freshly cut grass, cherry in chocolate, etc. Check first, whether there is an actual essential oil, made from that particular flower or plant.

butter Check the tips below & boost your knowledge! USING ESSENTIAL OILS IN SOAPMAKING: ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS 🌸How do I anchor the aroma or get the scent to stick when using essential oils in soapmaking? Using particular base oils can affect the final scent of cold or hot process soap. Natural (or non-deodorized) butters, such as shea butter and cocoa butter, can heavily affect the fragrance in cold soap. Before “officially” going palm-free with my soapmaking, Some oils have a strong scent of their own, such as neem oil, which also needs to be considered when choosing to use essential oils in soapmaking. We would recommend to always use well-rounded essential oil blends in soapmaking, ensuring that a blend is “anchored” with middle and base notes rather than leaving flighty top notes on their own. 🌸How much essential oil should I use for scenting soap? There is absolutely no blanket answer for how much essential oil to use in soapmaking. It depends on the method of the process (cold process, hot process, melt and pour, etc.) as well as the essential oil itself. The most professional way to calculate the amount of Essential Oil needed is to use Essential Oil Calculator. 🌸Should I expect discoloration when using essential oils in soapmaking? Essential oils don’t tend to have as many issues with discoloration as fragrance oils do, but it can and does happen! A folded orange essential oil can give the soap a light yellow to peach hue, while dark patchouli essential oil can lend a yellow or pale tan color to soap. A good way to determine if an essential oil will affect the color of the soap itself is to look at the color of the essential oil! If an essential oil is darker than a pale to medium yellow, you can usually expect a minimal amount of discoloration. 🌸How can I get vanilla, almond, chocolate, or coffee scent using essential oils in soapmaking? Another common misconception about using essential oils in soapmaking is that it’s not possible to mimic a lot of fragrances out there. While you won’t find cucumber or banana essential oils (because they don’t exist), you can create essential oil blends to evoke a wide variety of scents with a lot of practice. You can create blends with notes of vanilla, almond, and coffee using essential oils, absolutes, and CO2 extracts ✔️For vanilla: Vanilla oleoresin can lend a somewhat balsamic and resinous vanilla note to a blend. (It does discolor in soapmaking.) Peru Balsam essential oil can also be used to bring a lightly spiced but warm vanilla note to a blend. (Peru balsam should be used in extremely low amounts, and be labeled appropriately as it is a skin sensitizer.) ✔️For almond: The bitter almond essential oil can be found at a few suppliers, but due to DEA regulations, it must be diluted with a carrier oil. Even though it is diluted, no adjustments to usage rates should be made (aka you should not use double the essential oil because it is diluted.) ✔️For chocolate: Using natural cocoa butter in soapmaking definitely pulls a chocolaty scent through. I can usually detect cocoa butter in a recipe in as little as 5% of the formula, but most soapmakers tend to report a scent of around 15% to 30%. I like to use a little aged dark patchouli essential oil and pure balsam essential oil to scent cocoa butter soap to support the chocolate scent. (Add in a dash of orange or peppermint for a truly delish concoction!) Cocoa absolute is available and does hold in a blend in soapmaking for awhile. However, it is extremely expensive and not likely something you will want to use. You can also use melted bittersweet baking chocolate, but the soap will discolor dark brown and may have brown lather depending on the amount used. ✔️For coffee: Coffee bean absolute (Coffea arabica) can be used in soapmaking for a freshly roasted coffee fragrance. Pairing the absolute with triple-brewed coffee as a water replacement and natural (non-deodorized) cocoa butter helps to push and round out the coffee scent.

Is it possible?⁉ TIPS will help you create beautiful patterns in your natural Soap!🌸 Press ❤ & keep on reading⬇⬇⬇ 🌼use oils, which will not thicken the trace 🌼soap at T over 80 and be prepared for the volcano. 🌼keep the soap covered during all the time 🌼do not make water discount ( you can but it would require a bit more experience) 🌼do not stir the soap, it will help you avoid crumbles. ➡Try to make soap as liquid as possible from the first step & do not break nice texture with colorants or scents. To make your soap more fluid: 🌼add yogurt into the wax, before adding colorants & SF 5% of the oil weight. 🌸add vinegar after yogurt and give soap time to rest 🌼better to choose liquid colorants( such as juices, teas or powders mixed with water) 🌼avoid adding salt/clay to the soap if it is your first trail 🌼add colorants with a bit of hot water to avoid crumbles. To create swirls in Hot Process Soap is more. Complicated then in Cold Process, but possible! Give it a try! 💙
